First launched in 2002, the Aqua Terra Collection from OMEGA was christened with a Latin name which celebrates the storied history and adventuresome spirit of the Seamaster line. It was a watch designed to be as steadfast on water as it was on land.
Over the last two decades, its evolution within the brand’s pantheon has involved a careful melding of urban elegance with seafaring strength. The result today is a distinctive timepiece built as much for active lifestyles as it is for casual encounters.
OMEGA’s new Aqua Terra Shades Collection maintains the legacy of its hybrid functionality with a fresh injection of colour—underwritten, as always, by the assurance of Co-Axial Master Chronometer certification.

The collection embraces a full spectrum, taking its cue from nature’s palette, with invigorating new tones such as Atlantic Blue, Lagoon Green, Sandstone, and Terracotta. Driving the trend in smaller timepieces, the watch will also be made available in two sizes: 38mm and 34mm.
The dials within the Shades Collection are created from brass and have a sunray brushing radiating outward from the centre. Each is lacquered for the illusion of depth. The distinct tones are made possible through advancements in Physical Vapour Depostion (PVD) and Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD), depending upon the desired hue.
The 34 mm range boasts 18K white gold hands and indices, which are made to reflect the outline of sailboat hulls. The 38 mm line employs rhodium-plating, instead. Both cases remain true to their symmetrical Aqua Terra heritage, sporting full polish right down to the signed crown. The back is open for viewing through a pane of sapphire exhibition glass. The timepieces also feature white Super-LumiNova.
Powering the entire collection is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800/8801, guaranteeing precision and a high standard of magnetic resistance.
The stainless steel bracelets have been redesigned and feature smartly rounded links.

On the high end of luxury, two additional 18K gold references will deliver a shot of sophistication in the Shades Collection. A 38mm reference will incorporate OMEGA’s proprietary Sedna Gold—a red-gold alloy—with a diamond encrusted bezel totaling 1.77 karats. It will come with a “sun-brushed,” lacquered dial in sandstone hue and a matching 18K Sedna Gold bracelet with a butterfly clasp.
The 34 mm model will be fashioned in the brand’s 18K Moonshine Gold—a yellow-gold alloy—and be presented with a lagoon green dial and iridescent pine green strap.

Omega popped off with this line of ATs, though I’ve heard many say they never saw one in any AD sadly.
Perfect proportions with a gorgeous lineup of colours. But the date window makes me cry.
I’m a huge fan of the Terra, but this just seemed weird. Cool to have colors to choose from, but it just felt forced. I agreed with archivedtime on the date window, it’s not necessary on this watch

It was nice to see the addition of the date window frame. The exhibition pieces that were in boutiques last year had just a raw edge and it looked unfinished.
