Swiss Made Dive Watch /w Italian Style
Officine Tecniche, founded in 2019, may build their watches in Switzerland, but they reflect all the style and panache of their Italian roots. As an example, the OTW SVPER is certainly a diver with solid specs, but it would not be out of place paired with a suit and tie, either. Let’s take a closer look at this polyvalent Swiss Made dive watch.

Key Features of the Officine Tecniche SVPER Swiss Dive Watch
The SVPER is anicely proportioned with an athletic 40mm case that runs a wrist-friendly 47.5mm lug to lug and exudes a distinguished 70s vibe. The stainless steel dive watch is predominantly brushed with razor sharp, polished chamfering along the mid-case and the length of the bracelet—which also has polished centre links for a touch of elegance. The diver is 12.2mm in height and although technically an integrated bracelet sports watch, it ships with a universal endlink adaptor which will allow you to transform the watch into a veritable strap monster.
Not that you will be in a hurry to switch it out. The bracelet is a very complementary addition with a delicious taper to its signed, butterfly clasp. With screw links, it is also easily sized and quite comfortable on wrist.
Sandblasted Ceramic Bezel
The 120-click, uni-directional bezel has an insert that is particularly compelling, in the Rodi colourway (featured here) especially. It is created from sandblasted ceramic and has a sophisticated sheen in certain lights. It features a lumed dive bezel with numerals at the cardinal points, an inverted triangular pip at twelve, and a mix of bars and dots to differentiate the five-minute markers. The bezel itself has a fine coin-edged knurling for easy manipulation.
300m Water Resistance
Both the case back and crown are screw down and help provide the 300m of promised water resistance. The former is stamped with a beautiful rendition of a compass rose; the latter is signed in the brand’s gear-tooth logo.
Old Radium SuperLumiNova
Officine Tecniche have equipped the SVPER with a textured asphalt dial, applied baton markers, and a lovely pencil-style handset. Like the bezel insert, all dial elements have been lavishly treated with Old Radium Super-LumiNova for vintage after-hours glow.
Swiss Made Calibre from La Joux-Perret
By way of a movement, the brand has opted for an automatic calibre from La Joux-Perret. The G100 is a beautifully finished piece and crafted with care. Highlights include blued screws, diamond-cut finishes, and Côte de Genève bridgework. The “Top Grade” certification ensures accuracy with +/- 7 seconds/day. It also provides for a 68-hour power reserve.
In addition to the Rodi, Officine Tecniche offer four other dial variants, including the Deep Blue Varano, the Surf Blue Gargano, the Turquoise San Domino, and the Blood Red Limited Edition Arpi.

Of Interest
Officine Tecniche use the natural surroundings and architectural heritage of their homeland as inspiration for their watches. From the colours of the seas—reflected in their dials—to the dramatic Gargano promontory, motivation for their beautiful designs abound. In addition, each iteration in the collection bears a name which makes reference to a particular place in Italy.
Final Thoughts
The Officine Tecniche SVPER has an austere simplicity about it that is defined by broad strokes as much as it is in the fine details. The overall shape of the watch, for instance, cuts a bold round silhouette like a sundial; however, its well-proportioned dial elements, uniform finishing, and complementary colour choices really deliver a thoughtful product. You can add to this a well-crafted calibre, Swiss construction, and robust dive specs. All things considered, and the SVPER comes out looking like an attractive value proposition to boot.
